Power of Nature. Henry Moore in Poland is the third extensive presentation of the artist’s works, following the presentations in 1959 and 1995; the publication is to be a testimony to the artist’s presence in our country and at the Centre of Polish Sculpture. This catalogue includes the sculptor’s works presented at the exhibition in Orońsko which also showcases sculptures of Polish artists inspired by his work: Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz, Alina Szapocznikow, Magdalena Więcek, Alina Ślesińska, Tadeusz Łodziana, Barbara Zbrożyna, as well as Henryk Wiciński, Anna Dębska, Adam Procki, Maria Pinińska-Bereś and Ludmiła Stehnova.
Next to the beautiful whole-page photographs, the publication includes essays by: Hannah Higham, Eulalia Domanowska, Katarzyna Murawska-Muthesius, Agata Małodobry, Barbara Banaś and Iwona Dorota Bigos as well as commentaries on Henry Moore’s works written by Hannah Higham, and on the Polish artists’ works by – Anna Podsiadły.
The whole is complemented by the biographies of all the exhibition participants.
